Antonio Vivaldi (1678-1741): Gloria / Alessandro Scarlatti (1660-1725): Dixit Dominus

Um belo disco de música sacra italiana com obras de Vivaldi e Alessandro Scarlatti. Quase todos nós já ouvimos o Gloria de Vivaldi muitas vezes e, embora seja muito boa música, a pessoa tende a se cansar depois de um tempo. A versão de Pinnock é excelente. Meu interesse real sobre este disco é o Dixit Dominus de Scarlatti. Nós ouvimos muito pouco da música sacra de Alessandro, que é de alta qualidade. Embora ele não seja tão ousado ou enérgico como Handel, tem muitas ideias originais e belas melodias. Todos os movimentos são atraentes. Pinnock e turma estão excelentes como sempre. Embora desconhecido, este Dixit é definitivamente o destaque deste disco para mim.
