Frederic Chopin (1810-1849) – “Chez Pleyel” – Un concert de Chopin à Paris – Alain Planès

Eu poderia chamar este CD de temático, mas não seria o correto. Explico: o que o pianista francês Alain Planès faz aqui é “simular” uma apresentação de Chopin no ano de 1841, no famoso Salon Pleyel, em Paris. A descrição de Liszt, presente naquela rara aparição de Chopin tocando ao vivo, é emblemática:

“Last monday, at eight in the evening, the salons of M. Pleyel were splendidly iluminated; carriages constantly brought to the foot of a staircase covered by carpets and scented with flowers the most elegant women, the most fashionable young people, the most celebrated artists, the richest financiers, the most illustrious nobleman, a whole social elite, a whole aristocracy of birth, fortune, talent and beauty.
A grand piano stood open on a platform; people crowded around, aiming for the nearest places to it; already beforehand they pricked up their ears, prepared to listen reverently, saying to themselves that they must not miss a chord, a note, an intention, a thought of the man who was going  to come and sit there. And they were right to be so eager, attentive, religiously moved, for the man they were wainting for, whom they wished to see, hear, admire, applaud was not a merely a skilled virtuoso, a pianist expert int the art of playing notes; he was not merely and artist of great renown; he was all that  and more than all that: he was Chopin. “

O texto acima foi tirado do booklet do cd, uma primorosa edição da sempre excelente gravadora Harmonia Mundi. Como identifiquei acima, este texto foi escrito por Franz Liszt, que não por acaso se encontrava naquela apresentação. A leitura do restante do texto do booklet trará aos senhores maiores detalhes  e informações, inclusive sobre o piano que Alain Planès utiliza nesta gravação, construído em 1836 e que pertencia exatamente aos Salons Pleyes, célebre sala de concertos parisiense. Ou seja, existe a possibilidade de que este instrumento possa ter sido o instrumento que o próprio Chopin utilizou naquela noite. Curiosidades, com certeza.

Na verdade, o que importa aqui é a música de Chopin. O resto são detalhes. Espero que apreciem.
