G. F. Handel (1685-1759): Oratórios Saul & O Messias (ambos completos) (Jacobs)

Não são quaisquer CDs. Trata-se de dois monumentos da literatura musical do ocidente, os oratórios “Saul” e “Messiah”, obras que sei que dispensam apresentações. Porém, em anexo aos arquivos segue um belíssimo booklet trilíngue, com direito ao libreto das obras para os senhores melhor compreenderem o que ouvem. A interpretação está ao cargo do excelente René Jacobs, um excepcional contra-tenor em sua juventude, e que depois de envelhecer se transformou num dos grandes regentes do repertório barroco e do classicismo à frente de excelentes orquestras especializadas em gravações ditas históricas. Com tal proposta, as orquestras tem poucos instrumentistas assim como os corais tem poucos cantores. Assim, alguns podem estranhar a sonoridade destas orquestras, acostumadas que podem estar com gravações das grandes orquestras e regentes.

  1. Genial! Eu estou viajando e estava no domingo assistindo o estranho Messiah do Guth e estou só com o Messiah do Mcgegan,mas um Jacobs para um apreciador de Handel como eu é mais que demais!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Obrigado.

    Mesmo que o Jacbs tenha um uso diferente do cravo ele faz milagres na orquestra…

Como deves ter lido no final desta postagem, ela foi feita no final de 2011, quando eu andava às turras com minha operadora de telefonia. Boa noite amigos! estava aqui e na internet toda procurando uma maldita gravação! será que alguém consegue postar a belíssima versão do Messias com o Christie, figurando o Scholl como contratenor? ouvi apenas a ária “He was despised” com eles e caí em prantos. Enfim, parabéns pelo trabalho até aqui compatriotas!!

  6. Dando uma garimpada aqui pelo blog, é bom que eu encontro umas postagens legais como essa. Não tenho nenhuma gravação do Saul no PC ainda, baixando aqui pra suprir essa deficiência…
