O Segundo volume das gravações que Karl Richter gravou com as Cantatas bachianas traz as obras compostas para o período da Páscoa. São cinco cds ao todo neste volume.
Como comentei na postagem anterior, Richter para estas gravações conseguiu reunir os principais solistas da época, então temos a oportunidade de ouvir Peter Schreier e Ernst Häefliger, duas lendas do canto lírico. Peter Schreier, depois de se aposentar como cantor, tornou-se um excelente regente, com ótimas gravações em seu currículo.
