“Carlinus Files” – Franz-Joseph Haydn – Paris Symphonies – Harnoncourt – Concentus Musicus Wien

Outra pérola que consegui com o Carlinus, por ocasião de sua visita. As “Sinfonias Paris” de Haydn interpretadas por Nikolaus Harnoncourt e sua excelente orquestra, o Concentus Musicus Wien, grupo criado por ele mesmo para interpretar compositores do barroco e classicismo. Abaixo, um pequeno histórico deste excelente conjunto, texto retirado do site oficial do próprio Harnoncourt:

“As an ensemble which plays early music on period instruments, Concentus Musicus Wien has paved the way for historical performing practice and its story of success. The orchestra was founded in 1953 by Nikolaus Harnoncourt who directed the orchestra until 1987 from the cello and is still the artistic director of the ensemble. „The music of every period can best be brought to life and is most convincingly realized using the resources of the time“, is Harnoncourt’s credo. The musicians of the ensemble spent more than four years rehearsing and perfecting the sound of their ensemble and their authentic interpretation of Baroque and pre-Baroque musical works before they finally gave their first public concert in the Schwarzenberg Palace in Vienna. An event that marked the start of an annual concert series in Vienna, musical tours (starting in 1960) and a wealth of recordings – beginning with the Brandenburg Concerts by Johann Sebastian Bach. Among the many brilliant projects of Concentus Musicus Wien is the complete recording of all the Bach cantatas between 1970 and 1990, for which they were awarded the Gramophone Award. The ensemble is also famous for its opera recordings: for instance, Mozart’s Lucio Silla and Il re pastore, Haydn’s Armida, Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas and The Fairy Queen or Monteverdi’s Orfeo, and also numerous oratorios by Georg Friedrich Handel. The Concentus’ repertoire spans from Renaissance music to Haydn and Mozart and it includes both sacral and secular music. The successor of Alice Harnoncourt as concertmaster is Erich Höbarth, and Herbert Tachezi plays the continuo on the cembalo and the organ. 

Já ouvi diversas versões destas sinfonias, inclusive com o próprio Harnoncourt, e posso afirmar que com estas gravações o velho maestro, que já se encaminha para os seus 86 anos de idade, se não estou enganado, se consolida com um dos principais intérpretes de Haydn.
Para se ouvir com muito atenção, prestando atenção nas sutilezas e detalhes que este excepcional conjunto conseguiu extrair, ajudados pelos engenheiros da Harmonia Mundi e claro, dirigidos por um maestro sempre a frente de seu tempo.
