Esta gravação é lá dos primórdios da Naxos, quando ela era uma estranha empresa que produzia discos bons e baratos. Com este Messias descobriu-se que a Naxos poderia fazer discos FANTÁSTICOS e baratos. Lembro que, com este registro da obra-prima de Handel, todas as revistas e o público finalmente abriram as pernas para a gravadora de Klaus Heymann, fundada em 1987.

  1. O que é abrir as pernas, mesmo?… rsrsrs Brincadeira. Mas o registro é belo, PQP. O interessante é que tem gente que acha errado dizer “Messias” (sem o “O”). Na verdade, o título é “Messiah”, ou seja, é só Messias mesmo.

  2. Das pernas não sei, mas a torneira abri desde o primeiro compasso desta gravação brilhante. Tenho uma coleção de Messias, vai de Beecham a McKeegan; até cantar já cantei, no coro e no solo (bs). Poucas vezes ouvi uma interpretação tão na mosca. Estou ouvindo o Amen – e tome lágrima! E, por falar em pernas, é de ouvir ajoelhado. Obrigado PQP!
