G. F. Handel (1685-1759) – O Messias (McGegan)

Tradicionalmente, nossos leitores-ouvintes pediam o Messias, clamavam por ele, aguardavam por ele. Era muito chato ouvir tantas orações e pedidos. Tinha gente que se rasgava nos comentários, outros nos ameaçavam, outros prometiam atentados suicidas às casas dos autores do blog. Então, veio dos céus o primeiro Messias, um bem eficiente e digno. Depois, o segundo pousou na Terra para nosso gáudio; afinal, era o melhor de todos, o de Pinnock. E hoje, após bombas e mais bombas cairem nos céus de Gaza, chega-nos o mais fraquinho dos três, quase um foguetinho do Hamas, mas ainda assim aceitável. O erro desta gravação começa pelo contratenor — comparável à defesa do Vasco, ele bem que poderia ser utilizado como escudo humano palestino –, mas o resto é eficiente como um time de Celso Roth. Dá para ouvir, porém as outras versões que há no blog são superiores.

    Gosto bastante das gravações do Beecham e do Colin Davis, mesmo não sendo regentes ‘convencionais’ de barroco

  3. bom, eu gosto mesmo é daquela versão mais barroca, menos massacrante, belíssima e delicada, que eu só poderia encontrar aqui mesmo, e o comentário? uma aula! até coloquei no meu blog…

    Agora, se me permite (ugh, talvez não!), acho deselegante fazer pedidos, mas não resisto:

  4. Bem, eu gostei dessa gravação, pois foi a única que achei com as versões alternativas (he was despided, por exemplo, tem a em Eb para A e a em Bb para S)…e as Rejoice’s Greatly’s dele são maravilhosas
