O e-mail que o Dr. Cravinhos enviou não passava disso. E nem precisava. Como sempre faço, levei meses para ouvir o CD. Vou contar pra vocês, ele tem toda a razão. Silvestrov é um compositor erudito ucraniano. A maioria de seus trabalhos podem ser considerados neoclássicos. São tonais, delicados e melodiosos. São mais, são de alta densidade emocional, qualidade que Silvestrov considera sacrificada em grande parte da música contemporânea. “Eu não escrevo nova música. Minha música é uma resposta a um eco que existe em mim”. Em Silent Songs, Silvestrov pediu que “os intérpretes demonstrassem uma expressão de quem se rende a alguém ou a uma situação, uma expressão vencida, subjugada, mas sem psicologia”. A simplicidade de Martinov é fiel à intenção do compositor. É uma interpretação privada, ultracamarística, espantosamente bela e triste. Pena não termos os poemas cantados em russo. A nominata dos poetas revela bom gosto literário.
